Our clinic sits beside the ocean
overlooking False Creek and is a cozy, warm and intimate space.
We are easily accessible from most areas of Vancouver, either by walking
or biking the seawall,
taking the Aquabus from Yaletown, catching public transit which stops
a two minute walk away
or by driving – we are close to the Cambie and Granville bridges,
and there is plenty of parking nearby.
Our reception area has a comprehensive library with books, photos and
DVD’s available to borrow. In addition
we continually update our community-based information should you be looking
for other pregnancy and healthy
family connections such as prenatal classes, yoga for pregnancy and postpartum,
or new baby groups.
As your pregnancy progresses you and your midwives have the opportunity
to get to know each other well,
developing a relationship based on trust and experience. Combined, the
midwives at Pacific have been caring
for families and catching babies for over fifty years. Our goal is for
you to have the best experience possible
during this important time in your life and each member of our practice
is committed to this. We look forward
to working with you and your family through these precious months, both
by sharing our own knowledge and
learning from you. |

Penny
Stedman - Clinic Co-ordinator
I
have been working as Office Co-Ordinator at Pacific Midwifery Practice
for several years now. I quickly found
out that this not only means administration but also everything from making
small plumbing repairs to amusing
little ones while their moms are visiting the midwife. I love being part
of a dedicated team of women. I am a
Medical Office Assistant and before moving to Vancouver lived in White
Rock where I worked in a busy medical
clinic of nine doctors.
My
passion is hiking and I try to get out as much as possible on our local
trails, Mt. Baker area, Manning Park
and the Rockies for longer trips. Living in Kitsilano, I am lucky to be
able to walk to work everyday along the
sea wall. It is very special having our clinic in Leg-In-Boot Square,
a quiet oasis in a busy city! |
